Volunteers are an essential part of what we do! They come once or twice a week for an hour or stay for a couple of hours each day. Experience is great, but not necessary. Sign up for bi-monthly orientation to learn more.
Tutor or homework Helper
Being able to provide individual support to our students is critical to their academic success. Provide a safe and supportive environment for kids as they complete their homework and supplemental exercises.
Times: Monday through Thursday from 4-6PM(K-5th), Tuesday through Thursday from 5-7PM (6th-8th), Tuesday through Thursday from 4-6PM (9th-12th)
Walk alongside a high school student for at least one academic year, supporting them in their personal and career goals. This friendship with a student supports students as they navigate different development milestones such as learning to drive, taking college entrance tests, applying to college, finding a job, or exploring a new career or hobby.
Times : Tuesday through Thursday from 4-7PM, flexible outside of program time based on student and volunteer schedules.
Teach a Specialized Class
Do you have a passion for art or science? For entrepreneurship, work-readiness, gardening, photography, or budgeting? Come lead out of your talents and professional experience with hands-on enrichment activities for either our middle or high school students.
Times : Tuesday through Thursday from 5-6PM or 6-7PM
Bring Healthy Snacks and Meals
Help provide a healthy snack to our kids as a part of our out-of-school time care. Make something at home and bring it or prepare it with our students during program hours
Times : Monday through Thursday, flexible hours
Gather or Donate Supplies
We depend on in-kind donations to create a thriving environment of support for our students. We always need: Paper towels, Clorox wipes, Pencils and Pens, Notebook Paper (College and Wide Ruled), Gas and Walmart gift cards, etc. For a more detailed list, look at our amazon wish list below.
